Description

Sigma 35mm f / 1.4 DG HSM Art (for Canon)

Sigma's 35mm f / 1.4 DG HSM lens for Canon cameras is the first item in Sigma's Art series of professional lenses, with an emphasis on the artistic expression and creative potential of lenses. The lens has a maximum aperture of f / 1.4, a Floating Internal Focusing System and a hypersonic motor (HSM) so that you have fast and precise control of the artistic effects achieved with the quality elements of the lens. For added control, you can adjust lens parameters, such as focus, and update firmware from the comfort of your home using Sigma's USB Dock and Optimization Pro software.

In angular photography, the 35mm lens and its 9 circular blades with f / 1.4 aperture ensure excellent brightness and a "bokeh" effect of the background. Super Multi Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting, all to give you sharp, well-contrast images, even in backlit conditions.

The Hypersonic Motor (HSM) and Internal Floating Focusing System ensure a fast, quiet and accurate autofocus experience when you need it. You can choose between automatic focus (AF) and manual focus, without having to change the camera's mode or its settings - simply by switching between AF and MF.

For better quality and resistance, all metal parts and the new Thermal Stable Composite (TSC) material are housed internally. Its bayonet mount serves for precision and durability. A special treatment is also applied to the surface to give it greater strength and make it highly resistant to intense daily use.

Aperture range: f / 1.4-16

With a maximum aperture of f / 1.4, this lens allows you to capture images with a beautiful "bokeh" effect, even in dark conditions, thanks to its fast shutter speeds and ISO sensitivities.

Hypersonic Motor (HSM)

The lens motor works with ultrasonic waves for fast and quiet autofocus. The hypersonic motor ensures high speed and quiet autofocus, it also allows manual focus simply by rotating the focus ring.

Internal Floating Focusing System

For a more stable focus, the lens moves its internal lens groups without changing the lens length. It also compensates for chromatic aberrations and offers high optical performance for close-up photography.

Minimum focus distance: 11.8 "

The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 11.8 "throughout its zoom range, so you can capture angular close-up images.

Super Multi Layer and Anti-Shine Coating

The lens coating reduces glare, internal reflections and light scattering that can occur between lens lenses.

USB Dock & Software SIGMA Optimization Pro

For its redesign of the lens series, Sigma developed its own software (SIGMA Optimization Pro) and a USB Dock system that allows updating the lens firmware and adjusting the parameters (such as focus) without having to send it back to Sigma for those adjustments. .

Low Dispersion Special & "F" Elements

The lens incorporates Low Dispersion (FLD) "F" elements that have equivalent performance to fluorite, and a Special Low Dispersion (SLD) element crystal. By optimizing the alignment power of the lens, chromatic aberration is corrected for high-quality images throughout the entire focus range.

DG lens for 35mm & Digital SLR cameras

This is a wide-angle lens with a very short minimum focusing distance. Thanks to its peripheral illumination (or lack of vignetting) it is an ideal lens for both DSLRs and traditional 35mm cameras.

Sigma Series A Artistic Lens

Sigma organized its interchangeable lenses in three lines: Contemporary, Art and Sports. The Art line offers excellent quality with a sophisticated focusing system of excellent optical performance and excellent power to express yourself. The SIGMA 35mm f / 1.4 DG HSM is the first lens in the Art line. It was developed with an emphasis on artistic flair. Sigma's Art line lenses are designed to meet the expectations of users who value creativity and dramatic results more than compact design and multi-functionality.

Filter size: 67mm

The front filter thread is 67mm, allowing rotary polarizing filters to be used.

9x circular aperture blades

The diaphragm has 9 circular blades for beautiful and pleasant bokeh effects.

Copper Bayonet Mount

The lens features a copper Bayonet mount. It has a special treatment to reinforce it, making it very solid and durable for a long time.

Easy to use

For better use, the lens cap and MF / AF switch designs, as well as the integrated rubber hood, have been improved. To ensure precision, all metal parts and Thermal Stable Compound (TSC) material are housed internally.

Quality Control & Sigma MTF "A1" System

Previously, Sigma measured the performance of its targets with the standard MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) measurement system, using conventional sensors. However, Sigma developed its own MTF measurement system called "A1", using Foveon 46MP resolution image sensors. Previously undetectable high frequency details can now be reviewed during quality control inspections.
